Day 1
From Four Seasons Campers (Loch Lomond Base) head north on the A82 up the west side of Loch Lomond. At Tarbet take the A83 towards Inverary and continue to Lochgilphead. Next, take the B841 towards Crinan and then north on the B8025 through Kilmartin and north to Ardfern.
Things to see and do:
• Stop at pretty village of Luss on Loch Lomond
• Visit the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar
• Visit Inverary Castle
• Lunch at The George Hotel, Inverary
• Visit Crinan and watch the yachts come through the Crinan Canal
• Lunch option at Crinan Hotel overlooking Corryvrekan whirlpool
•• Visit Neolithic stones along Kilmartin Glen and Kilmartin Museum
Campsite: Ardfern Motorhome Park on beautiful Loch Craignish
Day 2
From Ardfern drive north again tonto the A816 to Oban. From Oban take the A85 and go over Connel bridge onto the A828. At Appin head west to Port Appin for lunch and walk then back to A828 and onto A82 and head north through Fort William and the A830 to Arisaig where there are an abundance of campsites and beautiful beaches looking towards the Inner Hebridean Islands of Eigg and Rhum
Things to see and do:
- Watch the ferries go in and out of Oban Harbour
- Visit Macaigs Tower in Oban
- Lunch at The Pierhouse Hotel at Port Appin
- Walk around the headland at Port Appin
- Take the little ferry over to the island of Lismore from Port Appin
- Neptunes Staircase is a series of canal locks that link the Caledonian Canal to the open sea and is well worth a visit. At this time of year you should spot some beautiful Scandinavian yachts coming through the canal on their way to the beautiful West Coast and Inner Hebrides.
- Glenfinnan Monument erected in memory of Jacobite rising and men who fought for Prince Charlie’s cause and the Glenfinnan Viaduct – a great engineering construction

Day 3
The A830 from Fort William to Mallaig is also known as The Road to the Isles and runs parallel to the Jacobite Steam train railway line, made famous in Harry Potter as the route of the Hogwarts Express.
Things to see and do:
- Visit the busy fishing port of Mallaig
- Get the passenger ferry to Britains most remote pub on the Knoydart peninsula Jacobite West Highland Line made famous in the Harry Potter films by Hogwarts Express
Campsite: Arisaig Sunnyside Camp Site or Camusdaroch Campsite
Day 4
Drive south back through Fort William down the A82 to North Ballachulish and on the B863 through Kinlochleven and around the south side of Loch Leven
Things to see and do:
- Climb Ben Nevis
- Stop at Loch Leven Seafood Café Stop https://www.lochlevenseafoodcafe.co.uk/ for seafood (highly recommended by other customers!) by Ballahulish Bridge for amazing oysters, scallops and langoustines
- Go climbing at the Ice Factory in Kinlochleven
- Walk up or abseil down Grey Mare’s Tale Waterfall in Kinlochleven
Campsite: Caolasnacon Campsite, Loch Leven by Kinlochleven
Day 5
Drive through Glencoe and Glencoe valley taking the A82 east then west down the west side of Loch Lomond . Alternatively continue onto the A85 and south past Balquidder and down the A84 by Loch Lubnaig and through the Trossachs back to Loch Lomond
Things to see and do:
- Climb the Pap of Glencoe
- Walk up the Hidden Valley
- Stretch your legs along part of the West Highland Way at Bridge of Orchy and enjoy some great pub food at The Bridge of Orchy Hotel
- Enjoy walking the Fairy Tale walk at Luss on the west side of Loch Lomond
- Eat at the Oaktree Inn Balamaha
- Walk or cycle around Loch Katrine
Campsite: Milarrochy Bay or Cashel Campsites – Loch Lomond
Day 6
Driving Time 30 minutes from Four Seasons Campers (Loch Lomond Base)
